I got to spend yesterday afternoon with my sis and her adorable little boy… I just LOVE him! His smile melts my heart.
The water: glassy. The light: gorgeous. The family: wonderful. All stars were aligned yesterday afternoon when I met up with the Hynes Family for a photo shoot on their beautiful boat. I couldn’t have dreamed up a better backdrop for this session; really, it was pretty perfect. And to top it off, I just had SO much fun… thanks, Hynes Family! Can’t wait to share more of your images, but for now, here’s one that caught my eye.

Hey guys, just getting ready to send out my little newsletter to all of you who have signed up! I’ve been getting a lot of emails lately w/ some really good questions… so I figured a newsletter/online magazine-type thing would be the best way to answer all of those questions. So, all that to say, I’m going to be sending this out tonight, before midnight (I’m Pacific Standard Time, which means I still have 3 hours until the official end of the day!) :) This one will be answering some ?s like: what are my favorite lenses? … and… how did I get started in photography? And I’m also going to be sharing some rambling thoughts on various topics, such as the following:
To make it clear: I am not claiming to be an expert here. Of course, we’re all in the process of learning and growing in this profession… but I think it’s just SO very important that we help each other out. I have had some amazing help/guidance/advice from other photographers along the way (namely, the Bouchers, DJ, and Jasmine Star). Ok, this is turning into a long post. But just ONE more thing. I’m thinking about offering something out here in SoCal next month… don’t want to call it a ‘workshop’ … It would be more like a ‘hang-out with Kimberlee to shoot amazingly-wonderful-kid-models and chat-about-photography/shooting-style… and develop-some-specific-marketing-goals-over-a-cup-of-coffee… and brainstorm-how-to-take-my-biz-to-the-next-level” type of thing. Oh, and it would only be 3-4 of you, so basically a VERY small group [which = plenty of time to ask specific questions geared specifically to YOU and your business... not to mention, the chance to work with the models in small groups and one-on-one].
